I don't understand why there is hype over Apply Pay. People seem to thinks it's something innovative. It isn't.
Why doesn't the article talk about NFC payment options on other platforms to compare features? I've been using NFC payments from my Windows Phone for over a year (and I was late to the game) and I'm certain most Android phones can do it, too. It hasn't failed me yet and I can use it most anywhere there is the option to.
I, for one, am excited to see what they have improved for the next version. Windows 8 did a lot of experimental things (e.g. focus on touch), for better or worse, and Microsoft has received more than enough feedback to make Windows 9 a worthy successor to Win7. I do hope they fix some of the issues related to gaming and 2-way GPUs.
They changed that already with an update a while back (I think it was part of the 8.1 update). If the OS detects the computer as a desktop, touch screen or not, it will boot to the desktop instead of the Start screen.
Probably not 'cash' though...That would be, like, 12 pallets of $100 bills.
